{"id":2095,"date":"2020-05-20T11:21:51","date_gmt":"2020-05-20T18:21:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/areteem.org\/blog\/?p=2095"},"modified":"2021-04-22T14:56:08","modified_gmt":"2021-04-22T21:56:08","slug":"2020-aime-and-usajmo-move-online","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/areteem.org\/blog\/2020-aime-and-usajmo-move-online\/","title":{"rendered":"2020 AIME and USA(J)MO Move Online"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Today the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"MAA announced today on their math competitions website (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.maa.org\/math-competitions\" target=\"_blank\">MAA announced on their math competitions website<\/a> two online competitions coming this summer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li> <strong>AOIME<\/strong> (American Online Invitational Mathematical Exam) on June 6th<\/li><li> <strong>USO(J)MO<\/strong> (United States Online (Junior) Mathematical Olympiad) on June 19th-20th<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>More details are available below. This page will be updated as more information is known.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AOIME<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>When:<\/strong> The AOIME will be administered from 1:30pm-5:30pm Eastern Time \/ 10:30am-2:30pm Pacific Time on Saturday, June 6th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who:<\/strong> The AOIME will be open to all students who qualified for the AIME I and\/or AIME II this spring. <em>Note: Students who took the AIME I in March are eligible to also compete in the AOIME.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How:<\/strong> Students taking the exam will be contacted by their local competition managers with information for taking the exam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Students should receive their <strong>Unique ID<\/strong> and their school&#8217;s <strong>CEEB Code<\/strong> from their competition manager. This information can be used to register for the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"AOIME at this link (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/artofproblemsolving.com\/contests\/aoime\" target=\"_blank\">AOIME at this link<\/a>.<\/li><li>Once registered, students will have access to a practice exam to get familiar with the online testing system.<\/li><li>Students must be proctored by an adult and electronic aids (including calculators) are not permitted.<\/li><li>On testing day, the full 3 hour exam must be completed within the testing window. Thus all exams must be submitted by 5:30pm Eastern Time \/ 2:30pm Pacific Time on June 6th.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">USO(J)MO<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>When:<\/strong> The USO(J)MO will be administered on Friday, June 19th and Saturday June 20th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who:<\/strong> Students qualify for the USO(J)MO based on their AOIME scores (and, when applicable, AIME I scores).  Qualifying scores will be announced after the AOIME is held.
